M52 M20 flywheel HELP

Hope someone know the anwser to this...

Is it possable to lock the M52 engine up with this flywheel?

my mate said that cos now i got the M20 fly the locking pin wont work or will it? (ive got no idea)

Is there any way around it, so to lock the engine i.e on a cam swap?

You dont need to lock the engine, TDC is easily found/checked

ta mate for that. just think his worried if the timing becomes out even if its at TDC. just a peace of mind for him to lock it up and less messing about getting TDC i guess, but i know what your saying

just for worse case senerio would there be any time that you know of when work is done to the engine were the engine would have to be locked up or is it just get TDC and get the cams lined up, JOB DONE

would this work....

get TDC put the car in gear and put the hand brake on?

or is there away to lock the flywheel with the starter?

Having a similar dilema myself with a M50 ,i`ve removed the head and replaced the oil seals,chains ,sprockets and a guide.Dont know wether to put the piston at TDC and drop the head on and hope that i`ve got it all lined up before i put the chains on.

I took s**t loads of pics when i was taking it apart so i could see how things were but my memory card has had different ideas and said up yours you aint having them!!

Would be a devastating mistake if i get it all wrong
