Hi guys, im new to the forum so its only right i introduce myself, im james and i own a 88 e30 320. It currently suffers from a slight missfire on tick over and quite a large missfire under hard acceleration, just cruising it is fine. It has recently had new plugs and dizzy cap fitted. the only thing i can think is injectors or ignition leads? any help on this matter would be much appreciated. thanks. :D

Welcome to the zone on behalf of the management!
The first thing to check is for air leaks between the air filter and the engine. Prime suspects are cracks and splits in the large rubber convoluted air pipe, an unused small stub pipe under the throttle body which should be blanked off with a rubber cap that has a habit of perishing and dropping off, and the connections for the brake servo into the side of the throttle body working loose.
The operation and adjustment of the throttle position switch should also be checked, and if the injectors are untouched since the car was built, £60 invested with 'injectortune' (in our traders' section) will be money well spent.
