just been looking at this on ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-325i-E30- ... 890wt_1396

very interesting that the builder has mounted the engine and box further back for better balance/handling.

thought ide share it although if you are like me ( a complete E30 internet troll) you'll have already seen it.

your thoughts !!!

Hmmm, looks quite nicely done. If it can be bought for a couple of grand you can't really go wrong.

really was just trolling tbh mate but yes your right 2k would be a canny price.

i used to rally for a few years and im still involved in competitive motorsport now and ive never seen this type of thing on any of the clubman rally cars i raced against or indeed the trackday/autotest/autosolo cars i race against now.

Ive seen cars have full mid mounted engines and minis with engines in the rear but nothing quite like this.

I think its an interesting thing to do and i would love to know how much difference mounting the engine and box back like that would make to the drive and handling.

Also think about the burns to your left leg and the crooked back having your pedals so offset. Not convinced.

That bulkhead mod would not be allowed in many NSA/Rally classes, interesting track car though

the bulkhead wouldn't pass scrutineering at most places, by the look of it there is gaps/incomplete firewall.
