Hi all,

I have started to install an OEM BMW Air Con system into my E30. I have the Heater Matrix in but have a couple of wiring questions.

1) The main A/C loom.
I know where all the connectors go (i.e Compressor / Reciever Drier / Temp Sensor) - but i dont have clue where the individual wires go on the other end of the loom (see below) - any ideas?

2) The Heater Matrix Loom
The loom that is attached to the Heater Matrix has the A/C switch (obviously) but also a large black connector with two wires going to it - i have no idea about this one - again any ideas (see below)

Any help will be greatfully recieved.

The bunch of wires go into the fuse box.

The black connector with the two wires plugs into the engine loom next to the DME above the knee roll trim above the pedals.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I find wiring an absolute nightmare!
I'm happy with the black connector, but do all the wires in the picture go into the Fuse box (the white connector looks like it plugs into something)?

If anyone has a picture of the fuse box with the A/C wiring attached - that would be a huge help.

In Jonnys pics, the wires that are relevant to you are -

Thick Black/Green which is fuse 3
Thick Black/Blue which is fuse 18

The two small black wires in the space on Relay K1
The small Brown wire (earth) in the space on Relay K6
The small Brown/Black wire in the space on Relay K6

You will also need to connect the open end of the diode to the the clear spade connector (brown looking plug). This stops the AC switching on when the fan hits slow speed with engine temps triggering the low fan speed with AC off.

You can also buy this loom new from BMW and don't forget to earth the loom at the nearside headlamp earthing post and you will need to release the 'locks' for the fuse connectors at the side before you try and push the female connectors in to the fuse box.
