Hi, I've just completed a shell swap with a conversion to manual '89 320i. The engine wont crank over, all the electric accessories work and the ignition lights come on, Have I missed something related to the auto box starting inhibitor when not in park ?
I haven't hooked up the reverse light switch, and the old loom to the auto box is just hanging by the selector in the manual.
Thanks for any advice.
Auto to Man conversion no start.

Not 100% but do you not have to have your foot on the brake to start an auto?

You need to bypass the starting inhibitor. You need to cut and join the yellow and black wires above the glove box.

Did this today ^ it's a 1990 shell but was exactly as in the pic. The engine fired up and runs well. Thanks again.
