just told my thermostat a rite joke, it made it CRACK up

hey...wondering if some ones got me some advice...ive gone through 3 chuffin thermostat housings now due to them cracking over the space of 3 months.. why?! admittedly ive only just got round to wiring in the fan loom but the car only gets very occasional use eniways and its never left to over heat! i tighten them up evenly too and not unnessesarily tite! advice please[/list]

no mate brand new ones. the last one i took off a 10cm long crack on the under side of.it pretty much from pipe to pipe clamp down areas (if that makes sense aha)

The plastic ones are crap, get yourself a nice metal one,
Not sure who stocks these now, but I might have a spare one kicking about...

You are overtightening them. Simples.

Mine was fine.
