All the suspension bushes on my iS need a refresh and I was thinking of a full set of polyurethane bushes such as Polyflex or Superflex. The car will just be for occasional road use, so would the polyurethane bushes be much harsher than the OEM ones? Which is the best brand to purchase, I have come across Superflex and Polyflex in my searches.
Thanks,
Kevin

OEM every time! Leave the plastic rubbish to the Saxo/Ford/Vauxhall owners.
Where non moving bushes are fitted, the plastic version will transmit noise and harshness, and not deflect as the suspension designers intended, and on bushes that need to move (trailing arm, front control arm) the plastic version introduces unwanted friction.
I would expect the OE rubber stuff to last longer as well.

As brian says, OEM rubbers and bush's are there to absorb forces, if they dont, then thoses forces are going to be tranmitted to somewhere else.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I had thought about the polyurethane as the car will get little use and supposedly this would reduce the longevity of rubber bushes, and the polyurethane are also supposed to be easier to fit. But I had my doubts about their harshness over rubber. I'll stick with OEM.
