After having purchased five Blaupunkt BMW radios from EBay,(over a long period) none of which any codes worked, I decided again to give it another try and found one that seemed to be correct...needless to say I didn't plan on spending so much, especially with already five in my collection :(
I was pleasantly contented when the radio tuned in :) but then realised only right hand side speaker’s work, cassette runs but no sound, and doesn't activate the electric Arial !
The one plug system with 16 pins I noticed are arranged differently to the others I have...could this be the reason and is there a solution ?
Grateful for any help.
Thanks,
Felipe

Felipe,

I cannot help with the wiring question, but if you Google search for "BMW Bavaria Wiring Diagram", you will find all sorts of pictures of which pins are which.

Also, and this may be a bit late, but there are lots of online websites that can give you the correct radio code - all they need is the serial number from the head unit and normally £8 or so. Search "BMW radio code" and you will see many options.

Worked for me on my BMW Business RDS head unir.

Martin.

Cheers Martin..will give it go !
Another query...the other radios will not show 'code' rather four dashes...and won't except numbers...could this be it has had too many wrong codes and is blocked for good ?

My head unit shows 4 dashes as soon as you connect power to it. You then need to use the 1,2,3,and 4 buttons to enter the code. Then the right arrow button to accept the code.
