M20B25 running problems

Hi,erm not sure how to explain this but I will try.

Right get in the car outside my house start it up it starts fine idles fine but if I give it slight throttle its lumpy as hell,

So I drive off out of my street build up my revs slowly,then depending which way I go ive got a left hand corner to do,after doing so if I floor it as such it will start spluttering badly almost like I was running out of fuel ? This would be like 4 seconds then stop job done all fine carry on ?

What the hell is going on please seems very odd to me,i must add it doesnt do the same on roundabouts.

Forgot to say the car seem to smell very rich.

Thanks mate, have been reading up on that this morning,i think I will replace temp sensor first.

test, don't replace. There's no point chucking money at it and possibly introducing new issues when 5 minutes with a 2quid multimeter could get better results.
