Hi,
I have a black 325i convertible which I have just got back from the body shop having had the full works done. It looks fantastic except the windscreen surround is no longer chrome.

Can this be replaced on its own, or does a new screen come with one?

Any one have experience of this? Recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Tim

PS I will get some pictures up soon, it is off for a MOT tomorrow and then I'll clean it up and take some.

I bought on last year from the stealers it was £58 delievered.

Its not so easy to fit though. I have one in my garage that I gave up on. Going to get my local windscreen repair place to fit it for me.

Got it on a 30m roll, works out at about £20 per window.

Don't know where you are, but if you want to pop round, and bring the beer, I'll fit them. Takes about 10 mins, but it is my trade!

I'm in Ludlow, Shropshire, perhaps to far for you. There is a company called Rejel, in Bedford that I use, try them. They also have the proper tool for fitting it at not a lot of money.

Wow, there are some really kind offers.

Unfortunately the car is in Holyhead at the moment so a bit far..

Thanks again, if I am passing Ludlow soon I will PM though.

No worries, always welcome. If you'd only asked earlier, the rally at Ty-Croes was only a couple of weeks ago!

Not at all hard to fit with the correct tool, some lube ( 8O ) and warm the plastic up first.
But if and expert offers to fit it for you.... :D
