Just been looking at my neighbourghs E36 as it won't tickover, as soon as you take your foot off the throttle it tries to stall, any ideas? Can't seem to see anything obvious with split hoses.

Update, got it ticking over smoothly after disconnecting what I'm guessing is the ICV on the side of the throttle body, it'll hunt briefly when you reconnect it but will stay steady afterwards. However it wont tickover if you restart the engine with it connected. It's also ticking over a bit high at 1000-1100 rpm.
