168mm lsd Diff into X5 front diff

Hi all.

I have heard it is possible to fit the gearing from a 168mm Z3 LSD or any 168 into an X5 front diff.

Can anyone advise me how this is done or who might be able to oblige? I need an LSD for grip issues. I hear quaife do the correct size but i really don't want to spend 1k +

If anyone has a 168mm (small case) led please let me know its origin and price you are after.
