Hi guys,

I'm in need of some knowledgeable people to help me out, i have a 188mm LSD carrier unit that suits ratios lower than 3.15 . However i want to use a ratio higher that 3.15. ie 3.9

What options do i have for making this work. Apart from re drilling the crown wheel bolt holes on the carrier.
Im wondering if the internals from my LSD carrier (clutches etc) will fit into a non-LSD carrier that was suited to higher than 3.15

Any bit of help appreciated.

Cheers

What is the problem exactly? The only difference I know of is the holes in the CW can be larger than the original bolts for the LSD unit, to get around this you can use spacers that fit between the bolt shank and CW

I've had to do this before but iirc one of the diffs was from a diesel so a 2.xx ratio so a bit weird.

In almost all cases it'll all fit together provided the LSD pack, casing and CW&P are all 188mm units. (E30, E34, E36 are all internally compatible)

The trouble you'll find is setting it all up and being in New Zealand i'm a bit far away to be able to help! :)
