I'm swapping the track rods on an E36 rack to E30 rods. My question is do i need to use E30 or E30 locking discs as the part number is different although i can't really see there being much of a difference between them.

use the ones that are the correct size for the rack ends you have.

in this case the answer should be to reuse the locking discs you have on atm or source some the correct size for your current e30 track rods.

there is a couple of different sizes depending on who made them so its best to check what you have.

From that i take it you mean i should stick with using the E36 ones since it's an E36 rack with E30 ends? :?
