Hi removed some chrome arches from my car the other day which were on it when I got it, but have a very hard silicone type material holding them on which is now left on the arches.

I was wondering if there are any specials chemicals etc that will take it off, I can pull it off tiny bits at a time but its alot of effort and take forever.

Would rubbing petrol, tcut or something like that remove it, obviously I would need to rinse it well after, so it doesnt damage the paint although will probably spray the arches anyway.

Or could I heat it up till it goes soft and scrape it off?

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Matt
