Under the inlet manifold where the engine mount arm bolts to the block there will a small flat surface to the side of it with the engine numbers on, first line of numbers tell you what the engine is, second line is the unique number on the log book.
If its a 2.5 it will say 25 6K (or 25 6E) if its 2.0 it will start 20 6K.

its a 2.0 ltr....just checked.....says"20 6k"....... so, wihout turbo'ing......how do we get a bit more performance then???? mind you, it pulls like a train already, how close are the 2.0 ltr's compared to the 2.5's then....in performance that is??? much??

Ive owned both 2.0 and 2.5 and there is a vast difference between them.

Your easiest bet would be to stick an m20b25 in there. Can pick an engine up cheap off here.thebloosman wrote:its a 2.0 ltr....just checked.....says"20 6k"....... so, wihout turbo'ing......how do we get a bit more performance then???? mind you, it pulls like a train already, how close are the 2.0 ltr's compared to the 2.5's then....in performance that is??? much??
Next up is m50b25 then m52b28. Both easy to do. And to do properly budget £1k to £2k depending on how you do it and how far you take it.
After that things get expensive.
