As the title suggests..... My M50 has started ticking quite noticably. It sounds like it's coming from the head. It only started recently. Whats the most common cause of this. Thanks guys.

I want to know what caused similar problems in other people's M50s.

5/30 fully synth is a much better oil to use, common for these to suffer with sticky lifters from long service intervals and poor quality oil

Litre of diesel in the engine oil to clean the system (didn't have any flush and diesel works better anyway), ran it good and hot, changed filter and filled it up with fully synthetic 5w 30 LL04 spec engine oil that I had for customers with newer cars. Now ticking over like a mouse's heart. Lovely.
