Where on the diff should the part no. be ?

I've just picked up a diff, and I'm wondering if it's a LS unit... on the casing it's got this yellow writing, that looks like it was stamped on, it's got a few no. 's but and it says LS on it ... I tried putting the no.'s into the ETK, but came up with nothing ?

I'm hoping it's a 325iS Evo1 diff... or early model Sport diff, with the slightly longer ratio, but if not a 325iS Evo2 or late model would be fine aswell

It should be on a small metal tag, located to the right (looking from the rear) of the drain and filler holes, it's bolted on by one of the big bolts that hold the rear cover on. The tag maybe rusty, so will need to be rubbed down, but if it's a slipper, it will have S3.64 or similar, the prefix S meaning LSD.

When you turn one of the output flanges, what does the other do?
