you should be OK on normal fuel dude, the 731 head is a good match for the Eta piston shape
keep us posted on how you get on M8

I'm running the Eta (200) head on standard fuel.
Are you sure the block that you have isn't a super Eta. If so you need a 325 head.
I thought that the 87'-88' blocks were the super Eta engines.

Have a look what the cast number is on the head. It should say 200 or 885 (probably). The number should be in between ports 3 and 4 iirc.

Cheers i assume if its 200 its a std ETA ?
and if its 885 , its SUPER ETA then, , i itend to start stripping it this week , is the 885 a std 325 head then or was it modded for the ETA ?, IE Smaller valves and ports etc

99% certain we never got the super eta in the uk.
I'm running a 525e engine with highly modded eta head and normal unleaded is fine although she's more responsive on super
The 731 320i head has the same combustion chambers as the eta head, good choice using 325i valves. Get the valves and seats matched with a 3 angle grind for more airflow and power while you're at it
Cheers,
Iain T
