at weekend i fitted spacers to the rear wheels and used overlong studs to attach . The car was on an incline and rolled back off the jack back making a nasty noise at the hubs . I think the overlong studs must have hit something on the inside
I hastily re jacked the car and removed spacer and refitted the wheels using original studs . My test drive after revealed a strange but regular noise coming from the rear hub as the wheels rotated
any ideas what i could have damaged ?
dumb thing to do

^ A rear disc-braked E30 will also have drum brake linings in the hub for the handbrake.
So yes, you will most likely have upset the drum shoes. You'll need to remove the drums/discs to find out what's what.
