In this months edition topgear magazine there is a small writeup of the winklehock edition m5,apparently they are a stripped out lightened version and only 51 were made, anyone on here got any more info on these or pics?

The one featured has a two tone paintjob(apparently standerd) and some really funky wheels. But I like!

seek and ye shall find!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_M5#E34 ... ck_Edition

or

http://www.bmwmregistry.com/model_faq.php?id=12

go two thrids down the page to find this:-

"In 1991, BMW asked two of its racing drivers to design their own ideal version of an E34 M5. One of the drivers was Joachim Winkelhock, known for his success on the racing circuit with the Schnitzer E30 M3. His ideal M5 was a lightweight edition, stripped of most comfort features but fortified with additional performance-oriented items. BMW M then offered the public a special edition model based on this ideal M5. "

A few pics on the M5 board, not sure if you need to be logged in to see them though.

they did a ravaglia edition also which was fully loaded with extended leather and heated rear seats and lots of other nice comforts.

Both drivers were given free reign to creat their spec on what the E34 M5 should have been like.

Ravaglia cars were all diamond black i think. it might not have been Rorberto i can't remember exactly
