Hey,
I've got a 320i engine that no one seems to want!
Does anyone know what the scrap value is like for the block/head etc? Might be worth just stripping it and taking it to the metal man....
Your thoughts!?

Aluminium is going for silly money so worth taking all castings on there own, tbh you might as well take the iron as well, that's still good money, I think you will get more if it is separated though. Ali is about £900/tonne at the moment, and 90p/kilo aint bad!

70quid and refurbed injectors, did he think your were born yesterday?
Not all will sell but most will, it will get you more money than scrap value for the lot. well i did and ive still the crank and block to take away.
Con rods are good for 2.7/8 conversions.

I stripped down my old 320 engine and sold off bits/weighed in the rest, was worth the time and effort in the end. I have looked at your engine for sale monkeyboy1979 as it would be ideal for my touring, but I am quite far away so can't justify the travelling/fuel costs

Head is worth keeping if it is not cracked.
Rods may sell.
Pistons would make decent ashtrays
Crank is heavy so will wiegh in.
Block is worth keeping,some-one who is building a high spec stroker will want it to bore out..
Sump should sell to some-one with the 'my suspension has collapsed' look...
