What engine oil?

I keep getting different answers from mates/internet...

Whats the best engine oil to use for a 325i sport with 107000 miles

not in the sense of brand but 5w/40, 10w/40, 15w/40, and so on....

Be nice to know from someone who knows what there on about.

10w40 castrol oil will be perfect.

Iv used this in both my 320i's and now in my 2.7 as well. Never had an issue

Best oil will definitely be a good quality 5W-40 or 10W-40 full synthetic, but an adequate oil will be any good 10W-40 semi synthetic. These engines aren't fussy.

M20 = 10W-40.

10W-40 semi or fully synth is what i'd use.
