My 325 Touring has the combi rear brakes with a main disk and integral drum for the handbrake.
The pivoting actuator that the handbrake cable connects to and which forces out the lower ends of the handbrake shoes is capable of being fitted either way: with the pivot leading or trailing, is there a correct/wrong way of fitting it.
I found the nearside (LH) with its pivot towards the rear of the car and the offside (RH) with its pivot to the front.
