Have some brake judder and got the car looked at today. Mechanic said that one of the front wishbone bushes is bad, but both lhs and rhs were replaced with the new wishbones about 1000 miles ago. He was wondering where I got them from. They were from Euro Car Parts, but can't remember if they had a brand on them. Is it possible for these bushes to go bad so quickly?

Probably not fitted correctly. Eurocarparts and GSF often do these kind of parts in pattern parts and OE manufactuer. Always worth getting the OE part.

Thanks Brian.
I said to him to get an original or OE quality bush. Hope it fixes problem as front discs and pads are brand new and I don't want to fork out for another new set.

I don't want to worry you, but I put a pair of ECP's cheapie discs in my car and they were juddering within 5000 miles.
I don't normally go for the cheapies, but when I needed them originally (in a hurry, as ever!) my local ECP didn't have the ATE ones in at that time.
Ended up getting them swapped for the ATE ones. That sorted it!
Stuart.

Does your mechanic know how to fit them properly?
The centre part of the bush must be lubricated with a lubricant that dries out, and it must be installed so that the bush isn't twisted at normal ride height.

Mechanic fitted a new set of original BMW bushes today and the problem seems to have gone away. The discs were Febi-Bilstein and the pads were ATE as far as I remember, but the bushes were some no-name items. Lesson here is to only buy OE quality brand name or original in future.
Thanks for all the advice and feedback.
