its very difficult installting the rear if you havent done it before takes 2 people you will need to take the hood of the frame, you might as well let a hood repair specialist sort it out.

out of interest where did u manage to purchase the rear screen and how much was it ?

I've sewn a rear screen into a cabby.

There's a guide on the wiki pages - Convertible rear window sew in instructions. This is the BMW guide with notes from someone who has tried it.

It's not a difficult job, just a tedious one.

The one thing on the wiki that's not listed is that you need to make sure you cut the window to size when it's cold. If you cut it when it's warm, it'll shrink in the colder air and it'll be a nightmare to fit.

You don't need to remove the roof at all.

I buy windows from emiata.com and you need to work out if yours is a zip in or sew in window. In my experience the zip in windows came with the facelift E30s.
