just was on pistonheads there now and the prices are all over the place was just wondering what they are really selling for?
i was just wondering because i thinking of selling up and buying a mint evo 5. an old man in his 50,s owns the car and it is factory fresh concourse the missus would give me awful grief for having 3 cars plus i need the diesal 406 for work.So im thinking of selling the sport.

thanks in advance i would say that my car is in very good order, bodywork is excellent had a respray not even a year ago, no rust any where, mechanicaly perfect, i just replaced the fuel pump yesterday she is going like a dream. there is over 100 a4 pages of reciepts for the car totaling well over 10k. the interior has a full retrim so it is also unmarked.[/img]

from observing sport prices, like you say they are all over the place, its ok valuing one at 5 or 6k...but its finding a buyer and actualy selling it for that, pricing it by your value and pricing it to sell, are different things

what would be good maybe, is if a sticky was made on here, or a whole prices/values section, with people putting up prices they paid, and sold sports/all e30s for, with details on spec/condition , so people can keep a bit of track maybe ? as whats it worth ? is a very common question, and e30s vary so much depending on a number of factors

the pic of the car on the gravel was before the respray, to show you that she wasnt a shed or neglected before she got sprayed.

The ones worth money are OEM or OEM+ or close to..

Unfortunately Azevs/eyebrows/Spax/2 tone retrims/'Show plates' are not this..

As it stands i would say around 3.5k, If put back to stock may be £6000+ If it is genuinely rot free!! You might make more than the standard replacement parts cost when selling the wheels/interior too :D Good stock sports are all but gone now, so its a sellers market imo.

Providing its not clean rotten id say from 4K up in northern ireland, the problem is that 90% of them are clean rotten.

You will be lucky if its even worth 4, it would have to be showroom condition.

I reckon its because a tech 1 looks very standard 325i, tech 2 is very pleasing to the eye.

Here in ireland its like chalk and cheese, you couldnt sell a tech 1.

Yeah, they love their Sports here. That's all you ever see for sale. I'd take a Tech I any day myself...

nm1 - you weren't rolling round Ballymena a couple of Saturday evenings ago? I spotted a really fresh looking Sport like yours from a distance...

Obviously not the battered e34 touring I was in though! :D

If it was you I saw, that's a hell of a shiny paintjob. Car looked smart. Cruising past McDonald's onto the section of dual carriageway after the filling station ring a bell?

yeah thats sounds right mate havent really had her out much because of the unwanted attention of young fellas trying to race me and telling me to diff her at every junction. It gets pretty annoying, i should hopefully be buying the evo i was looking at up in kells silver evo 5 if you know it, a man in his 50's drives her she completely standard.

oh my god polsta my car is a piece of crap lol because it has eyebrows and non standard number plates, i think it looks better than a set of boring number plates and i think eyebrows make the front end tougher looking, its not as if i have put on anything thats not easily changed in a few minutes if you guys lived in northern ireland i think you would see which sport rules over here, cant remember the last time ive seen a tech 1. 95% are driven lowered hardened alpinas and eyebrows you very rarely see a standard sport. we must all be chavs over here  no offence to anyone is meant

whos said its a piece of crap :?

so basicly what your saying then....every sport in ireland looks the same  95% of people here would take a standard looking sport over ones like that every time, and spend money on subtle driving modifications...

basicly...ireland is 15 years behind, in 10/15 years youl all be hankering for tech 1s and the 90s max power look will of passed

polsta mate i was only messing about it being crap :D , if what your saying you dont want to modify your cars they are all gona look the same as well mate. . In 10 to 15 years sports in Ireland are going to be like twincams and to be honest the majority of them look the same over here. Superlite wheels janspeed exhaust cibbes spotlights, maybe it a Irish thing. winkeye

If everybody in England is hankering after a tech 1 then why is the tech 2 still making more? Price is all dependent on demand.

Because most Tech 1's are hanging out their arse..

Plus the Tech 1 isn't in with the 'Bruvs'/Council types.
