The dash lights on my 325 touring failed but after searching on this forum I saw Brians advice to earth the brown ashtray cable: and yes the lights came on! Cheers Brian, I guess this means the headlamp switch is faulty so I'll pull it out and have a play with it. Any advice on which colour cable I should be looking for?

Brown/white at the headlamp switch, the same as at the ashtray.
If you're happy to live without the dimmer function, just earth the brown/white wire for a permanent fix.

Thanks Brian, I'll check the switch then depending on that I'll try the earthing option.
Cheers
