M50 525i same loom as m50 325i loom?

as above is the 5 series loom the same as the 3 series m50 loom?

no, one of them is longer (the E36 one I believe but I may have that the wrong way around)
Ideally you want whichever one is longest so that you can have the ECU mounted under the dash on the driver side in the E30 (stock ECU location)

E36 is the longer one,ECU lives on the 'battery tray' on E34!
