Hey i've got a 1988 325i cabriolet. The car starts, runs very well infact almost perfect....Untill it starts to get warm. The idle goes right down to 300rpm, and will hunt up and down from 300 to about 7 or 800. Its got a new idle control valve, new throttle body, all vacuum pipes have been replaced all air intake pipes have been checked aswell.

The thing i wanna know is, when im sat in the car and its idling at 300rpm, i can hear the internal fuel pump from under the back seats whining like crazy, some points sounding weak? Are these engines known to have a problem like this or does anyone have any other suggestions on what it could be?

Any help would be great, thanks!
