M20 rebuild

Hi, while i'm waiting to find the right donor car for a M30 swap i have decided to run a 2.5 for a while. I've recently picked up an engine with ECU and airflow meter minus flywheel and clutch. While the engines out im going to overhaul it with new gaskets, belts, pumps and pulleys. What i would like to know is if anyone can recommend good quality suppliers for the gasket sets and clutch and flywheel set up. I am considering putting a turbo on in the summer if the stock engine gets a bit boring so that needs to be taken into account. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated, Cheers

Why throw away good money on the M20 when you could put the towards the engine swap you really want.
When you remove the M20 are you going to get your money back?
Do you really need a clutch and flywheel ???
If you really want to do it, just buy the parts from eurocarparts, gsf are a bit dodgy.

get an M30 and rebuild that but be warned M30 don't like going above 6K too often

Unfortunatley i have alot of time & money to be spent getting the shell to showroom condition. The plan of action was to get the shell to show room with a good reliable block and run that for 12 months while i build the funds to buy a mint, low mileage 535i sport as a donor

I always use BMA Parts in the US. Just send them an email, and they send you parts at a great price (particluarly considering what BMW parts cost in Australia).
I have rebuilt 2 x M20's and bought all the bits for my Brothers M50 overhaul through them... No worries.

It will cost you more to ge the shell into showroom condition than to buy an E34 535i

I actually have a set of SM (german) M20B25 piston rings and valve guides and other part sitting in a box in my kitchen.

ECP or GSF are good just state that you want either genuine parts or victor reinse gaskets
