As a celebration of finally getting this car on the road I've finally got round to making a thread on it. Bought it from a geezer in Oldham back in 2008, with the intention of replacing my 205 for daily duties. It made it home and broke down outside my house:

Events centered mainly around my own stupidity and some bad luck resulted in a ban and the subsequent insurance hike. This kept the beemer stuck in the garage until 3 weeks ago, when I could finally afford to insure it. Progress over the years has been slow to say the least, and I take my hat off to you guys who have the time/mojo to produce such amazing rides!
Anyway soon after getting the home work commenced getting it to work properly (lots of litlle boring welding, filling, repaing, painting type jobs) and look a bit nicer hopefully

Got some stock rims

Stopped the exhaust setting off car alarms

Ride height adjustment

Hartge rims and fresh tyres

Nearly ready to take over from the trusty 306dt

On the road finally! And looking small next to its fat younger cousins

Magpie: It's sat on the handbrake on my steep street in that pic so the back is higher than normal, but it's a on a 60/40 kit for an is. I prefer a bit of rake to the snake's arse look but am still deliberating whether to drop the back a bit more..
Adit: got my eye out for a different front lip, maybe something slightly different to the m42 lip that has been removed at some point in the car's past probably!

nice car (and you Adi)
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

heard they are a lot less crack prone than the more expensive bmw items as well, i'll be keeping an eye out for 960s in scrap yards for sure! Looks deep enough to double as a sump-damage warning device
