Does a later M42 ECU from an e36 0 261 200 950 offer any advantages over the e30 M42 ECU 0261 200 175.

also, how about the e36 exhaust manifold and the injectors? any use in the e30?

Injectors will be the same. I expect the manifold will be the same but there is a chance that it was altered due to the engine sitting is a different place in the E36.
Can't see the E36 ECU having ny advantages over the E30 one but could be wrong

AFAIK e36 ECU has inputs for knock sensors
