Hi All.

Some advice please, i've recently had my cyl head re surfaced and a 6 branch manifold fitted along with a 272 high lift cam, it sounds awsome as i had hoped, the only problem being is the Hydrocarbon levels are higher than normal.

The garage have advised that i8 should take the car back after 500 miles to have the tappets reset, i'm wondering if with the upgrade would a upgraded chip be appropriate? or is a remap more suited.to help with the fuel mixture setup.

All advice most welcome.

I might be talking poo here, but I am pretty sure the zone chips actually make a car idle slightly faster (900rpm???) to help in exactly these situations, it also makes the transition between idle and driving better.

The reason the HC's are higher will be down to a more aggressive valve timing, Ant will be able to answer your question exactly.
