on this pic:

where the two pipes 5 and 6 join the heater matrix pipes at location numbers 8. which pipe goes where i.e. which one goes above the other on the matrix pipes?

Pipe from back of head goes to the bottom stub on the bulkhead

Do the heater pipes from the matrix NEED to be cut down in order to fit the inlet manifold or is it just preferable?

I cut the top 1 down by about an inch, I think it has to be cut for the inlet to fit iirc
A 2 door e30 with 8 cylinders, what could be better
