Another quickie!
Whats the recommended pressures for 15 inch BBS?
And 16 inch Alpina's?
Apart from going by the rating written on the tyre, as front and rear are different on 325's?!
Thanks

I Have Alpina 16s - 7" front and 8" rear - running on Pzeros, 50 profile front & 45 profile rear. Tyre pressures 2.1 bar front, 2 bar rear. Quite a few of us on the zone run the rears at lower pressure than front. Good combination for handling, comfort and quietness.

I used to run 28psi all round on my E30s, i wanted the ride quality up (

)
Now on this one with the new Toyos im currently on 36psi fronts and 34psi rears, the ride is a bit worse but the handling is a bit sharper, no doubt i'll experiment with the pressures in time.

Hi Simon, 1 Bar = 14 point something psi. I'll search for the exact fig and post it if no one else comes in with the answer.

Alas, I was in the garage jigsawing and gluing MDF to make a fire surround.
Might spray it Diamond Black tho'.
Just remenber to use intumiscent(fire retardant) paint.
Wouldn't want all that hard work going up in flames. [/quote]

It's only going to be dummy focal point for a boring room, so there'll be no actual fire, but thanks for the tip. 'Intumiscent' - I'll have to remember that one!

Doesn't intumescent mean that the paint'd react with the fire? As in good for a fire door, where it only need to work once, but not great for a fire surround, where it'd look cr@p after the first time you used it?

Hi Simon, no probs. Let us know what you think with those pressures.
Karan - 40psi - wow don't you find the ride skittish? I know it depends on the rest of the set up. I did try that sort of pressure on track once but ended up with less grip and more wear/less effective brakes. Each to his own but can't help thinking it must be like riding on 4 bricks!!

Hi Karan, Be interested to hear what you find best for you. All adds to the data bank! I was advised by UnixNerd up in bonny Scotland to try lower pressures - actually 2 and 1.8 bar but I upped them to 2.2 and 2 when I changed my wheels and tyres and that's just what suits me.

i like my car to slide around at the back a lot hence my high rear pressure, will lower the front though.
