Just thinking ahead.

My M50 came out of an auto. The harness has an EGS connector that I was simply going to strip out.

The question is, is the ECU specifically an auto one? Are there any changes I need to make on the ECU or the EGS wiring (short a couple of pins or connect one to 12v) to make it work?

Thanks in advance

Jon

So I'm happily chopping out the bits I don't need, starting with the EGS connector I've traced all the wires and cut out the bits I don't need.

The gearbox end had 3 connectors, what I'm uncertain of is why one of the connectors goes to a relay via a green/blue wire. What do I do with this wire If I no longer need the auto gearbox connector. A relay with only 3 wires in it doesn't feel right. How many relays should I have? I have 3.

Some help here would be welcome.

None of the auto box wiring is connected to a relay

Thanks Dan
What's the 4 pin screw connector thing down by the gearbox connectors?
Lambda possibly?

Hmmm...
So Lambda connects to a relay, and also the ECU.
What if there's no Lambda? Is it like M20 Ecu and it just works around it in its programming if there's no lambda?
