Ok im pretty bored at work so desiging the box I need to build for my sub, but I dont know the exact measurments of the boot. Tried a search but couldnt find anything.
Any one know the space inside a convertible boot? I think the space between the floor and the bottom of the hood compartment is 11", and from the back to the point where the hood compartment ends is also 11". Is that right? And does anyone know the width in this part of the boot?
Want to try and keep the sub under that section as much as possible. Just need to know the exact measurments so I can fine tune my calculations to get the box just right.
All help is greatly appreciated!

Its a 12" MTX sub, Running off a ZX series Kicker amp. Vibe components up front and in the rear as well, run of a JBL GTO amp. Will then upgrade the components closer to the summer when the hood will be down more on the car.
Im quite new to the whole install thing my self, but its important to make sure the box is built with the correct volume and frequency for the sub your using.
After speaking to a couple of peopl I had decided on making the box so it fit completely under the hood compartment, and then have it sticking out very slightly. Although this is only 11", and the sub is 12", I would then have a couple of baffles made up to make the sub sit out a little and then the rest would fit in the box under the hood compartment.
Now because the width isnt as big as I hoped, the whole box will sit out a little further, but with a slight step to accomidate the loss of internal volume and the sub can then sit right in to the box as usual. Im going to lose enough boot space with this sub and box alone, as it needs 2-2.2 cubic feet volume, so for two 12" subs I can only presume you will lose most of your boot.

When working on the calculations, this is a good site to use http://www.reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html
It allows you to enter the diamters you want the box to be, and then you can adjust it to make sure the volume and frequency are correct for your sub.
