injectors

Ive heard alot about rebuilding the injectors? is there any signs to look out for i.e missfireing? or is it just part of a healthy service, my 325 does have a missfire when cold and stinks bad of fuel but not sure if having the injectors done will help with anything, i replaced the blue temp switch (bmw) secondhand AFM but was told i have to have it reset?? changed the plugs and leads, timing set up right. now im just wondering about injectors ?

well with the afm its not so much a reset, more an adjustment if needed for the emissions, as for the injectors, its said that as little as 20k miles on them they will start to weaken and get a little grubby. my old m20 on idle would lump a bit and when driving at a steady rpm would jerk a little, new set of recon injectors and it ran so sweet, any second hand car i buy in the future is gonna get a new set of injectors instantly!! i have a set on the way right now for my 2.7, they make such a big differance
