Have a look at this,

http://dubai.dubizzle.com/classified/au ... rice__lte=

I went to see one of these a week or two ago and it was the most solid one I have ever seen. They really do not rust over here. Would be the ideal base for a project. The price of AED1500 is about 3k stirling. I believe shipping can be done for about AED4000 which is less than 1k stirling.

There are import duties etc but I think there could be a profit in this. Thoughts any1?

There actually pretty cheap. It would make sense importing it. Only thing it will be LHD. But that does not bother me. If prices are like that in a year I'd be interested.

They are all LHD and they all seem to be white for some reason. Well that's the only colour I have found so far.

There are a lot of rotten ones available in the UK that would yield all the parts you need to convert to RHD, and swap the speedo from KMH to MPH. I think you may need to swap lights etc too but to start with something as solid as these are would surely be a blessing. It only rains for like 2 weeks of the year here. winkeye

Most middle eastern cars whilst not rusty have trashed interiors /rubbers/trims etc. LHD isn't an issue . I can't see a profit in either of them, even if the interior has survived :(

Pete, what about other cars?

Here is a Hummer for sale (very common over here)

http://dubai.dubizzle.com/classified/au ... yLw==&ps=2

And a similar spec one for sale in the UK

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HUMMER-H2-PICK-UP ... 3a5e32dad0

There's about 10k stirling difference in price...
