I've got an e36 328i and in the not too distant future i may have chance of an s50 engine. I have looked all around the net and although i've found conversations about it i never really came across anything conclusive about just how an involved job this swap is.
Does anybody have any knowledge or experience of this swap? What i can gather so far is the engine will mount fairly straight forward but the ews may cause problems?
the car is a 1999 and the engine would be from a 1995 3.0. Any light on this would be appreciated
PS: i already have an m3 exhaust system from head to tailpipe

Easy job really, just make sure you get the EWS module and chip with the engine, unless its a non EWS donk which means joining the starter wires
