Had some time tonight to look into the fact only half of my instrument cluster lights up and also to examine the cogs on my now defunct odometer.

After pulling it out and replacing the bulbs, I refitted the cluster temporarily to see if the cluster lights now worked. But got nothing, not even the half that was illuminating.

I played around for a while refitting original bulbs but cant get any illumination now.

Also, the left indicator now blinks about twice as fast, the rear normal lights aren;t working and the rear passenger indicator isnt either.

Any ideas what i have done and how I can fix it? An examination of the fuses doesn't appear to expose any blown ones!?

Thanks

Is your indicator stalk in the central(off)position?
Is the dimmer control on the main light switch turned fully clockwise?

Indicator only on when in turn left position then blinks very fast. Blinks normally for turn right.

And yes, I tried the dimmer control.

Thanks

Sorry if this is basic stuff but when indicating left do all the bulbs indicating left work? A faster flash normally means a blown bulb. As for the rest of the lighting issues it sounds as if a wire or three are trapped.

So the l/h rear indicator is not strutting it's stuff?

As the tash suggests, could be the bulb there or a loose wire at the column switch end.

Regarding the cluster, both plugs in correctly and all wires attached?
