quick rack steering

The credit for the article is actually down to Ian332i.
The rack isn't a straight swap and I'm still suffering problems with clearance between the UJ and downpipes. I have less than 1mm gap and when the engine moves on the mounts it locks your steering.
It was all okay until someone hit the back of my car and must have twisted the exhaust slightly.
It's a defainate improvement over the E30 rack. I'm going to get someone to build me a custom UJ.

And there'll be even more of them done once I get hold of some high pressure lines, which I think Ian said he'd do a batch of sometime soon (hint hint wink etc.

I don't know of any conversions on four cylinder cars, fingers crossed there'll be more clearance than on the sixes.
