Hi guys,

Can some one give me an answer on this one,

I have an A reg chromie coupe and a G reg chromie convertible, and they have a different front valance panel.....

Can someone tell me when they changed and are coupe/4 door/estate/convertible valances the same ?

Thanks

Andy P.

how is it different..?? any pics of them??
i would have thought that the fittings are the same... just put an aircon front valance on a non aircon car and it was a straight swap, they just look slightly different ..(an extra air hole)
Only in the good lord we trust.. In everything else we check!!

The second valance in your pictures is the pre-pre facelift one, which featured on 2/4 door cars from the start of production too late 1985 built cars, whatever the variant, that was the basic front valance.

Like this:

The last picture is the later pre-facelift front valance, this featured on cars built from late 1985-1987 built cars. But the convertible did not get the facelift the other model's had in late 1987 until 1990 so this continued with the later style pre-facelift front valance.

For the UK market the convertible never had the pre-pre facelift front valance, only the baur's did if they slotted in the same build dates as suggested for 2/4 doors above, as baur's start life as 2 door saloons.
