Hi all, im 1/2 way through my m62 build and have been looking for big brakes and I have seen the k-sport 330mm 8 pot kit which seems to be a very reasonable price but are they any good? seen them on a few drift cars but not had the chance to ask any owners about them.
anyone here know much about them?
cheers
Gav

Hi there,
I have this kit on my 325 that I use for trackdays and drifting. In short, I have had no issues with the kit at all other than weeping nipples (oo-er!) that was easily cured with a bit of PTFE tape on these after a bleed to stop the problem.
I use this kit with standard rear discs right now.
A word of advice though - as you are going from a single pot caliper to a lot of pots, you will need another master cylinder to maintain pedal feel and travel of the pedal. I upgraded to the 750i master cylinder (27mm instead of 19mm I think and a straight swap!) and this gives a really good pedal feel.
On track, I have to say they are awesome - no fade at all thus far at Oulton, the 'Ring and Cadwell - surprises a lot of people with the stopping power (at my local track - Oulton - a few fellow track go-ers have had to take to the escape road trying to stay with with me under braking towards the first chicane).
As a final point, all this is with 205/40 Toyo R888 tyres on 17" rims (they just fit) so remember your tyre choice is important as well!
I hope that helps!
Cheers,
Mike

Cheers Mike, just what I needed to hear as I have some on order... should of asked on here first! cheap track day toy idear has gone well and truly out of the window! I am mounting the master cylinder inside the car as to make space for the m62 and have a 54oi master cylinder so it should be up to the job.
Thanks for the info
