M50 Coolant sensor (ECU)

Hi, there appears to be two coolant sensors on the head, one a few inches from the front of the engine and the other a couple of inches further back, which one is for the ECU?

The one for the ECU usually has a blue connector on it. I also think it has 2 pins instead of 1(coolant gauge).

Cheers, I'll have a look later. They both looked like 2 pin connectors so I'll pull the plugs off
