this mayb a stupid question but i'm going to go ahead and ask it anyway...
was thinking about reinforcing the mounting area of my bolt in cage with a strip of fibreglass until i get some steel plates made up to sandwich the shell between the cage foot and the metal plate....
is there any reason this shouldn't be done?
Thanks in advance
cage reinforcement....

I take it you are bolting it in
Fiberglass is brittle, it will break and do nowt in an impact and will be a bugger to get of when you want to fit the proper plates
Most cages come with weld in foot plates any way.
