Hi, just about to start removing drivers door card to look at locking mechanism etc. Is there a link to talk me through removal of the door card. Don't want to bust anything! (I have all the stuff downloaded on the lock innards etc already but nothing on the card)
One thing I'm not sure of is how to get the little switch panel out of the door handle - the one which controls the electric mirrors? Does it prize out - if so how to avoid breakage? Or does it stay in and come away with the whole door card.
Thanks folks

Pop it out carefully with a flat bladed screwdriver and you'll be fine. Disconnect the plug and set it aside.
Undo the three screws holding the handle in place (on is behind the mirror switch). Then unscrew the locking pin
Once the handles off it's a case of pulling it off by hand. There're several "popper" clips around the sides and bottom of the card, Don't yank at it as you rish breaking the clips or the chip board backing. Gently increase the preasure and they should pull out. I used a long flat-bladed screwdriver when they were a bit stubborn.
The top of the card is secure by 3 metal spring clip type jobbies and you bascially just lift it up and off them.
