Could a snapped fanbelt make my car appear to overheat through electrics. my fan belt snapped an i didnt notice my car was over heating and 3 lights were on in the dials. then last night my car died obviously due to the fan belt not bein able to power the alternator!
why else could it overheat n please dont say head gasket (im dreadin it). there was also a slight leak in the rad but ive put radweld in now an it doesnt appear to b leaking.
snapped fanbelt

think it is just the coolant
where the belt had snapped and it overheated the water started to boil over
and started leaking out of the cap overflow
all is well now though
