How hard is the interior in an e30 to remove and more importantly to refit. i am planning to strip everything to check the floor is ok and free from corrosion.

Secondly, what are the most common places for the e30 to start to scab?

To get the carpet out its:

- Front seats out, 4 bolts on each.
- Front seat belt floor mounting points, 2 bolts.
- Underdash panel off, 3 screw things.
- Rear centre console out, handbrake gaitor off, and one nut under rear ash tray.
- Front console out, 1 screw by clutch pedal, one under gear gaitor & one up and under by the heater controls. You will have to remove the front ash tray as well.
- Footwell speaker panels out, 1 screw & pull of the door seal in that area. Passenger side undo the bonnet open catch.
- Door sill trims, just pop off, But you may brake the clips.
- Undo acelterator pedal, small retaining slid on clip thingy behind it.
- You will have to cut the carpet around the steering colum if you don't want to remove the steering colum itself, But this is no big deal.

Think thats everything, then just pull the carpet towards the back of the car. It will pull from under the heater matrix thing, But you won't get it back in easily, so just cut that section of the carpet out imo.

Oh and E30's rust everywhere... Check everywhere you can see.

No need to remove he dash to expose the floor,,,

Basicaly, the dash is held in by just 4 bolts, but it is easier to remove the front seats and the centre console as described earler, first!

On the n/s,there's a wiring plug that needs to be unplugged as well,a large white one
You will need to remove the heater control panel, pull off the 3 sliders and carefully lift off the trim panel around the stubs to expose the 4 small screws that hold the panel to the heater.,
I'd take the steery wheel off as well, makes the job easier.
Lift the dash in the centre,to clear the heater box, taking care to make sure that nothing is still attached or is trapped.
